New Zealand marine innovators Tectrax™ have just revealed their groundbreaking new system, Boat-Launcher™, a remotely controlled, self-propelled boat trailer, for its world premiere at the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show.
Responding to consistent demand for retrofit amphibious systems, Tectrax has developed the Boat-Launcher system as a cost-effective and convenient solution for boat owners who love their existing vessels but desire effortless launch and retrieval. While retrofitting amphibious technology to existing boats presents significant engineering challenges to maintain optimal on-water performance, the Boat-Launcher offers the ease of remote operation without requiring boat modification.
The Boat-Launcher is an innovative electric wheel kit designed for seamless integration by trailer manufacturers or boat builders. This collaboration results in true all-terrain trailers specifically engineered to tackle the diverse and often challenging conditions of New Zealand’s beaches, coastlines, and lakes. The system promises a dry and straightforward launch and landing process, allowing boaters to enjoy the convenience of amphibious technology with their preferred boat at a significantly lower cost than purchasing a new amphibious model.
At the heart of the Boat-Launcher is Tectrax’s unique electric all-wheel drive system, delivering an impressive 5,000Nm of torque for powerful all-terrain launching. Its submersible design allows for deeper launches and smoother landings, ensuring a hassle-free experience.
