The Anping, a 600-tonne class twin-hulled catamaran commissioned for the Taiwanese Coast Guard (TCG), is nearing completion. Jong Shyn Shipbuilding Group expects the vessel to be completed in October 2020 ready for sea trials before being deployed for protection and fishing control rights in the southern waters. Following the recent award of the contract from the Presidency of Defence Industries for the Turkish Coastguard, ARES Shipyard in Antalya is building 122 patrol boats to protect the country’s shoreline borders.
