BEST BOATING SPOT – photo competition winners:
In July/August 2010 we ran a photo competition asking boaties to send us their “Best Boating Spot” photo. Have a look at our gallery of entries for all of the photos here.
The first prize of a Viking Kayak, Viking aluminium paddle and a paddling vest, courtesy of Diversified Products, went to Vicky Charlesworth of Auckland for her photo of “Paddling towards Cape Brett in the Bay of Islands”, below:
The second prize of a Panasonic DMC-F2S digital still camera went to Sarah McElrea of Christchurch for her photo of the Mahurangi Harbour, below:

Discover Boating launch competition – November 2009
During the end of 2009, Discover Boating was stocked to give away some wicked prizes during our campaign kick-off promotion.
The major prize was New Zealand’s number one selling entry level fibreglass family boat, the Fi -Glass Dominator complete with multi roller Trailer and Boating Accessory Pack. The Dominator is powered with a Yamaha 70hp 2 stroke outboard engine. The total major prize is valued at over $32,000.
Also, there were consolation prizes of 6 fabulous Viking Nemo kayaks also up for grabs valued at $799 each.

More about the prizes
The Discover Boating prize package includes a fabulous 5.05 metre Fi-Glass Dominator boat and self centering multi roller trailer for a stable, fully supported ride and a very easy launch and retrieval system. All on road costs are included.
The Fi-Glass Dominator is New Zealand’s number one selling entry level fibreglass family boat. It’s powered with a Yamaha 70 hp oil injected 2 stroke outboard motor.
