Photo Competition Terms
The photo must be of a New Zealand location (from here on, “photo” means to the photo you are entering into this photo competition)
You must either be the author of the photo, or have the consent of the photo’s author to enter the photo into the competition
You must have the consent of everyone prominently appearing in the photo to enter the photo into the competition
You can enter as many photos as you like, however, each photo can be entered only once – we will remove duplicate entries
Only valid entries, where all required infomration is provided, will be eligible to enter into this competition
Entries into this competition are open from Monday 12 July 2010 until 5pm Tuesday 31 August 2010
There are two prizes. Main prize consists of a Viking Nemo kayak, Viking standard alloy paddle and an Ultra PFD Pinnacle Series 2 paddling vest. Secondary prize consists of a Panasonic still digital camera.
The colour, model and configuration of the kayak and associated accessories, as well as the camera model, may vary from the ones shown on our website
Tha main prize will be given away to the best photo as selected by Discover Boating and the secondary prize will be given away to a randomly drawn entrant from the pool of entries. The winner of the main prize will not be entered into the draw for secondary prize. First valid entry drawn wins
The prizes will be drawn on Wednesday 1st September 2010 and the winner notified by e-mail on the same day
Prize includes delivery to your specified address in New Zealand
Should the prize/s be returned to us for whatever reason, we reserve the right to draw another winner at our discretion
Employees and contractors of the Marine Industry Association of New Zealand and their immediate families, as well as the members of the Discover Boating committee are not eligible to enter into this draw
By entering your photo, you consent us (Discover Boating, us/we/our from here on) to use your photo for our promotional purposes, including being displayed in the entry photo gallery section of this website
Should your photo be inappropriate for this competition, we may choose not to display it in our photo competition gallery and we will not enter it into the draw at our discretion
We (Discover Boating and the Marine Industry Association of NZ) take no responsibility for lost, damaged, misdirected, late, illegible or imcomplete entries
We shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered (including but not limited to indirect of consequential loss) or for any personal indury sustained as a result of you accepting and/or using the prize
The prizes are not transferrable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash
Any warranties are those of the product suppliers
The winner’s name and photograph (if applicable) will be published on the Discover Boating website and may be used for our promotional purposes
We collect and hold your personal information provided with your permission in order to notify the winners, to verify the eligibility and identity of the winners as well as to keep you up to date with Discover Boating activities through our newsletter. This newsletter will only be delivered to the e-mail address you provide us, and you are able to unsubscribe from this newsletter at any time
Pursuant to the Privacy Act 1993, you will have the right to access and correct any of your personal information that we hold
Our decision regarding the winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into
